First Batch of Nickle Plated range brass
Review by Steven
This is my first order of 40S&W range fired brass from Everglades. I'm a little OCD when it comes to my brass but several had little dents in the cases but once I sized and de-primed I did not see any imperfections inside the case. Mostly Speer Cases with 99 out of 200 ordered and only one Sig 357. All the cases were sized about the same with only slight variation in length less than 1/1000 difference. The only reason for four stars was the overall condition but for the price you can't beat deal.

Nice 40 S&W nickel range brass
Review by Beerad
2nd review. Ordered 500 count nickel plated 40 S&W range brass from Everglades.
Overall brass looks great. Got 4 357 Sig cases (<1%). and 13 miscellaneous branded 40 S&W cases (<3%) in the batch of 500. Not bad for 500 cases!

Breakout of my cases by brand are:
Speer 40%
Federal 20%
Winch 15%
RP 15%
Horn. 5%
Starline 2%
Misc. 3%

As I said, most of these cases were in almost once fired condition, a few, say about 3% had been reloads judging by primers and case head dents/strikes.

All 40S&W cases appeared to be super clean, trimmed to 40 S&W factory case length, case mouths chamfered, and ready to size and reload.

Thanks Everglades for a great product at a fair price. I will continue to buy my brass from you guys.

Nice brass
Review by Mr. Wonderful
I hesitantly ordered a hundred range brass 40 nickle finish cases from Everglades. Have ordered other brass/bullets before and was very pleased.

My package arrived and I inspected each case based on the previous ratings by others. Out of 100 cases, I had 55 Speer, 15 Federal, 20 Winchester, 10 R&P, most were in good shape but about 5 were discarded due to deformities and excessive wear/tear caused by multiple loadings. I loaded up about 30 rounds and noticed that all were trimmed and chamfered, and… all except 2 were in spec we’re at or very close to recommended trim length. Checked them on a case guide and they are good.

I will order more if these chamber, eject, and maintain their integrity after firing.
BTW, the dreaded Glock case bulge was completely removed by Hornady dies.

This brass looks good!
Review by Beerad
Just got a hundred to try out. Would have gotten more but ratings seemed off. After delivery I inspected each case and sorted by brand. About 50% Speer, 20% Federal, 10% R&P, 15% Winchester, 5% other.

Brass was very clean, and appeared to be in great shape, a few were older judging by head-stamp wear, but over 90% looked almost brand new.

As for the dreaded Glock bulge (reviews of same caused me to only order 100, in case I had to dump the lot), I’ve seen a lot of worse. These had a bit of it, but it was completely eliminated with careful reloading with agood die set, like Hornady 40 S&W with the titanium-nitride sizing ring. Glides right over each case and they look like factory new. Dimensions are perfect, (only had one that didn’t glide into cartridge gauge- get some of the gauges- they are gold for checking uniformity of dimension.)

Have not fully reloaded cases yet for shooting but will soon and add to my review. So far it looks good.

Great Product
Review by John L.
Ordered 2000 of these an am finally getting them ready for loads. Sorted all the cases had 9 off brands the rest were name brands. Only had 2 .357 sig cases in the whole 2047 cases I received. Am really impressed with the products I have received from Everglades over the years. Will continue to keep them on my Favorite List for quick ordering.

Great brass!!!
Review by Donald B.
Received my box of 2,000 .40 S&W cases today -- in, as always, record time -- and have already begun experimenting with the best way to proceed with further processing them. My first approach was to simply re-size these and check them with a case gauge. I quickly discovered that many (easily 95% or more) appeared to suffer from the well-known "Glock bulge" and then hit on the following sequence:
(1) begin by first running every case through a Redding carbide bulge remover (I have found this to be more convenient that the Lee Bulge Buster tool);
(2) re-size and deprime them (I use RCBS dies); and finally
(3) re-checking them again with a case gauge.
I found that some (perhaps 10%) of the cases would fit very snugly in the gauge and have to be nudged out with a brass rod but virtually all should be reloadable. Less than 1% of the cases had minor deformation in the mouth area but thus far all of these have been salvageable. Without exception, this is the cleanest once fired brass I have ever purchased. I think that anyone who reloads .40 S&W brass would be entirely satisfied with the quality of these cases.

What was expected.

Five stars for delivery speed, and product. Other used brass distributors scoff at Speer brass but what few I had to throw away were Federal and Remington. An extra 36 rounds were primed and never fired.
